APPI Calgary Event - IAP2: Changing Environment for a Changing City

Registration is closed for this event

Using a collaborative approach, the City of Edmonton has recently concluded their 3-year-long Council-sponsored Initiative on Public Engagement resulting in significant changes to Edmonton’s engagement policy and approach.  Wanting to model engagement best practice, the process included over 1000 community voices through workshops, a joint community/City Advisory Committee, and five joint working groups. At the session, join Jane Purvis, public engagement advisor with the City of Edmonton, who will review the history of P2 at the City of Edmonton, the context of the Council Initiative, the process (including techniques used – consensus workshops, storytelling, collaborative working groups, joint community-City advisory committee, surveys, focus groups, online community opinion panel), results, and preliminary outcomes.

Registration must be completed by Friday February 16, 2018.

This event qualifies for 1.0 structured learning unit.

Refunds will not be issued; however, registrations may be transferred.
