APPI South World Town Planning Day Event - Film

Join Us for World Town Planning Day!

On November 9, in recognition of Community Planning Worldwide, the Alberta Professional Planners Institute will present the film:

'Citizen Jane: Battle for the City'  (92 minutes)
In 1960, Jane Jacobs' book, "The Death and Life of Great American Cities," sent shockwaves through the architecture and planning worlds, with its exploration of the consequences of modern planners, and architects, reconfiguration of cities. This film retraces the battle for the city as personified by Jacobs and ’master builder’ Robert Moses, as urbanization moves to the very front of the global agenda.
