Bridging Networks and Community

Are you interested in learning more about a career in professional planning? 

University of Lethbridge Students as well as professional planners practicing in the  region and beyond, are welcome to attend this professional networking event hosted by the Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI) and the Community Planning Association of Alberta (CPAA).  

"In Conversation - Bridging Networks and Community” is an opportunity for students and urban, rural and community planning professionals to have a conversation about the  possible and meaningful impacts that students can make with their skills and education by pursuing a professional planning career.

The evening will include:
•    A brief overview of who APPI and CPAA and the benefits of membership.
•    Roundtable discussions hosted by a local professional representing a different piece of the community growth puzzle. Such as planners, developers, architects, community social development professionals, and related disciplines.
•    An opportunity for students to ask APPI Council, CPAA Directors and professional planners questions about a career in professional planning. 
•    Locally catered, complimentary tacos (meat and vegetarian), churros, fruit and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.  
•    A cash bar featuring a local brewery.  

Professional planners who attend this event are eligible to self-report their attendance as structured learning for the purpose of the continuous professional learning (CPL).

There is no fee to attend, but students, faculty, professional planners, other professionals and elected officials who will be attending are required to register.
