The University of Alberta, Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, Faculty of Science
has established two new planning degree programs. They are a BA major in Planning with a broad focus on urban and regional planning and a BSc Specialization in Planning with a focus on environmental planning and the use of computer technologies in planning. Prior to applying students should consider if they would like to apply to the Bachelor of Arts Major in Planning program or the Bachelor of Science Specialization in Planning program. Students interested in focusing on natural science elements of planning, including environmental management and the use of geographic information sciences, should consider the BSc Program and those interested in the aesthetic, economic, and social issues of planning should consider the BA program.
