2026 Conference Call for Proposals
Deadline: 12:00 PM February 19, 2026
The Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI) invites proposals for its 2026 Conference from planners, practitioners, researchers, and community leaders seeking to advance planning practice across Alberta and beyond. APPI is especially interested in submissions that elevate rural planning perspectives, examine the connections between planning and mental health, and highlights Indigenous planning, collaboration, and ways of knowing. Proposals may include presentations, panels, or interactive sessions that share practical insights, emerging research, policy innovation, and on the ground experience. By amplifying voices from rural, Indigenous, and mental health–focused contexts, the 2026 Conference aims to support more inclusive, resilient, and community responsive planning—submit a proposal and help shape the conversation toward planning at the speed of change.
