The Centre’s first program is an online certificate in cultural planning. The courses authored and taught by senior practitioners from around the globe, are nine weeks in length and can also be taken individually for professional development purposes. Courses provide historical, cross-sector and comparative perspectives on cultural planning, foundations of core knowledge, international models of successful practice, and useful skills to students from around the world.

Foundations of Cultural Planning
While focused on the core discipline and practice of planning, this course introduces key perspectives and concepts to demonstrate the potential of cultural planning for a strategic, integrated and holistic approach to urban and community planning. Trace the history of the concept and practice of cultural planning from the origins of the Town and Country Planning Movement to its present-day application and development in North America, Australasia, Europe and the Asia-Pacific Region.
