Explanation of Importance

Regulated members must “maintain currency in the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out the practice of planning” and “must continually seek further knowledge in the theory and practice of planning and all other matters that enhance the reputation of the profession and the regulated member”. While the recording of Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) was previously voluntary for APPI Regulated members, APPI adopted the mandatory reporting of CPL and APPI is committed to helping you meet those requirements.

Why is APPI Committed to Continuous Professional Learning (CPL)?

APPI’s Code of Professional Conduct found in the Professional Planner Regulation, requires that Regulated members must “maintain currency in the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out the practice of planning” and “must continually seek further knowledge in the theory and practice of planning and all other matters that enhance the reputation of the profession and the regulated member”.
