APPI Walking Tour - Downtown Edmonton Parks Tour — Home is where the heart is

O-day’min means strawberry or heart berry in Anishinaabe. This is representative for the heart of Edmonton. Join us in downtown Edmonton to celebrate the new O-day’min Park and the newly redesigned Beaver Hills House and Michael Phair Parks — three transformational public spaces that showcase the heart of our City as a place where people don’t just work or visit, but truly live. These parks offer welcoming, inclusive spaces for gathering, play, and connection, reflecting the ever-evolving rhythms of downtown and its residents.

Together, Beaver Hills House, Michael Phair, and O-day’min Parks demonstrate how great public spaces can strengthen community, support wellbeing, and spark new life in the urban core. This event invites participants to experience downtown differently by challenging perceptions and highlighting the parks’ role as catalysts for a vibrant and livable downtown community.

This tour will be led by the following speakers:

Councillor Anne Stevenson, Ward O-day'min

Cheryl Probert, President, Downtown Edmonton Community League
