APPI Edmonton Events Committe - Walking Tour, Summer Meet & Greet

APPI Edmonton Events Committee is pleased to welcome two City of Edmonton planners, Curesha Moodley and Tom Beck, to guide us on a walk to explore projects underway in The Quarters and learn more about pedestrian wayfinding in the Downtown. 

Curesha Moodley has been a Planner for The Quarters for the last two years. Curesha will lead us on The Quarters tour, which will begin with the Boyle Renaissance project - a City led redevelopment initiative that is part of The Quarters. Other projects that will be visited are: The Armature, site of The Artists Quarters, and the Hyatt Hotel.

Tom Beck has been a Planner for the Downtown area for two years. The Downtown portion of the tour will focus on pedestrian wayfinding on Downtown streets and in the Pedway system. Learn about what wayfinding is, how it has been implemented in Edmonton, and about the "Walk Edmonton" Wayfinding strategy currently being developed.

Time: Meet at 5:15pm, walk begins at 5:30pm
5:30pm – 6:30pm (tour)
6:30pm – 8:30pm (social)

*We will meet at the Winspear Centre on the sidewalk facing 99 Street for the walking tour. The walking tour will end at Tavern 1903 for a social.

*Tavern 1903 is located at 9802 Jasper Avenue.

THIS EVENT IS FREE AND THE WALKING TOUR QUALIFIES FOR 1.0 CPL CREDIT.
