Volunteer Opportunities with APPI - You can make a Difference!

Volunteering provides members with a unique opportunity to contribute to the Institute and the profession, while broadening their professional networks and acquiring new skills.

Volunteers required for consideration as APPI Representative on the University of Calgary’s School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape (SAPL) Faculty Council

The SAPL Faculty Council serves as the Faculty's senior academic governing and advisory body on the academic affairs of the Faculty.  The Council reviews and provides recommendations regarding academic priorities, strategies, plans and policies for the Faculty, and provides a forum for discussion, information sharing and approval of Faculty recommendations to the General Faculties Council or other external decision-makers.   The SAPL Faculty Council meets approximately four times each calendar year and the terms of reference will be shared with interested members upon request.  Representatives may serve a term of up to three years, with eligibility for re-appointment for a cumulative term of five years.

If you are a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and interested in being considered as APPI’s representative on the Faculty Council, please send an expression of interest email with a resume of no more than two single-sided pages to the APPI office by October 28, 2021.
