As part of CIP commitment to enhancing your member services, we have been working with the Provincial and Territorial Institutes and Associations (PTIAs) to transition from our old database to a new, shared database.

Our new database will provide members with a much-improved and refined user experience through a simplified, one-stop service for login, invoicing, renewals, and more! As a result, a number of member services will be temporarily unavailable.

APPI Edmonton Event - Reality Check – how development actually happens

Tuesday, November 8

11:30 AM Arrive and eat, hot buffet lunch
12:00 - 1:00 PM Presentation

Winspear Room, Faculty Club, University of Alberta, 11435 Saskatchewan Drive, Main Floor, Edmonton

Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI) and the Urban Development Institute – Edmonton Metro (UDI-EM) are pleased to co-host a discussion on current issues in urban development. Planners build strategies for cities with great hopes of livability, affordability, and vibrancy. What happens when our plans are deemed infeasible – and cannot be implemented? What are we missing from our urban planning toolkit, and how do we pivot?

Join Tom Burr (ONE Properties), Adil Kodian (Rohit Group of Companies), Susan Keating (Melcor Developments), and Claire St. Aubin (City of Edmonton) for a panel with perspectives from the development community – the gaps, deficiencies, and opportunities to make our plans work. Moderated by Kalen Anderson, Executive Director of the Urban Development Institute – Edmonton Metro.
