APPI 2022 Student and Legacy Fund Awards Committee

APPI is seeking RPP members who are interested in serving on
the committee whose primary responsibility is adjudicating the annual APPI Student and Legacy Fund Awards.

The committee work includes the adjudicating the submissions and two or three virtual meetings between March and June. Therefore the time commitment is minimal and there are no geographical restrictions to serving in this capacity.

If you are interested in serving on the APPI Student and Legacy Fund Awards Committee please submit a brief bio and
expression of interest to the APPI office by 12:00 PM on Monday, January 24, 2022 via email to [email protected].

APPI 2022 Conference Committee

APPI is currently planning to host a hybrid 2022 Conference that will offer in-person and virtual delegates  – ONE EVENT – TWO EXPERIENCES.  Details pertaining to the location and registration will be shared as soon as that information is confirmed.

The Institute is seeking members who are interested in serving on the Conference Committee and are responsible for the development of the conference theme, program and sponsorship opportunities.  To support an engaging and virtually delivered stream, APPI is seeking individuals who have the skills (or who want to grow in this area) to moderate and facilitate virtual presentations using technology to ensure smooth transitions in break out rooms, manage engagement tools such as whiteboards, streaming discussions, online polls and summaries.

If you are interested in serving on the APPI 2022 Conference Committee please submit a brief bio and expression of interest to the APPI office by 12:00 PM on Friday, January 28, 2022 via email to [email protected].

APPI is committed to equity and diversity in positions of influence and leadership within the Institute and welcomes responses to this call for volunteers from individuals who identify as First Nations, Inuit, Metis, LGBTQ2S+, persons with disabilities, women and other
marginalized or disadvantaged groups.  Members who practice and reside in rural communities are also encouraged to consider responding to this call for volunteers, as meetings can be accommodated virtually.

2022 APPI Member Renewals

The 2022 APPI and CIP member renewal invoices were issued electronically in December 10, 2021.  If you have not received your invoice please email [email protected].

Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) Reporting Deadline Extended: January 10, 2022

All regulated APPI members (Registered Professional Planners, including RPP Non-Practicing, and Candidate members) are required to report a minimum of 18 Learning Units (LU's).

Due to high volume the CPL system is experiencing delays, and APPI is extending the reporting deadline to the end of the day on January 21, 2022.

If you are experiencing a life change or challenge, that may prevent your ability to comply with the CPL program and would like to inquire about special consideration to reduce CPL reporting requirements, or if you require clarification about the CPL program, please contact the APPI office.
