APPI Nightlife Tour 2017

Friday, September 1, 2017  8:00 PM to 10:15 PM (please arrive early)
Tour starts and ends in front of Crash Hotel, 10266 103 Street, Edmonton

You’re invited! Join us on a tour of Edmonton’s Warehouse District along 104th Street and see how urban planning has positively impacted the vibrancy of the area during the evening! Hosting the tour are City of Edmonton Regional and Economic Development team members Marty Pawlina, Program Manager, Barbara Ursuliak, Hospitality Planner and Braidon Reid, Commercial Business Strategist. The walking tour will illustrate how a concentration of licensed businesses can help promote vibrancy, safety and appeal of an urban area. Your tour guides will identify area challenges and planning initiatives designed to support business owners, residents and consumers in the nightlife economy.

We will cover the planning strategies implemented by City administration, area residents and their downtown experience, and the economic realities of the local businesses in making Edmonton’s Warehouse District a destination for hospitality. This is a walking tour and attendees will be walking 2-3 km.

This event qualifies for 2.25 structured learning units. Space is limited to 20 attendees and online pre-registration is required.
