Webinar - The Health and Economic Benefits of a Walkable Urban Form

Join us for a webinar with Dr. Larry Frank, Professor from the University of British Columbia's School of Community and Regional Planning.

Dr. Frank will share some of his research that applies a method of neighbourhood selection for environment and health studies combining walkability and sociodemographic factors of land use.

Explore a former winter campsite, a large bison pound, bison kill and processing site, an erratic,and the natural springs area. Learn about the influence of the Bow River on First Nations settlement patterns, and future role of these sites in Calgary’s development. Speaker: Brian Vivian
Bring walking shoes, long pants and sleeves, and hat. Please note that the tour will involve walking down a steep trail.

In Memory: APPI Past Member

Christopher Reddy passed away at home, with his wife and daughters at his side, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 67.
Chris obtained his degree in Environmental and Professional Planning from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Pursuing a career in Urban Planning, Chris travelled coast to coast helping to shape Canadian cities. Chris is best known for his larger than life, gregarious and positive attitude. He was a mentor to many and truly impacted the lives of those he met. He was a lover of photography, art, good food and music. He was known for saying "it's a great day to be alive". Always sharing his positive outlook on life with those around him.

You may log into the CIP web site to access your current reporting activity at any time. APPI will not be mailing hard copy report cards or letter reminders.

To remain a member in good standing as an APPI Regulated Member (i.e, Registered Professional Planner (RPP) or Candidate Member), the minimum 18 LU's for 2017 must be completed and reported on or before December 31, 2017 via the CIP website http://www.cip-icu.ca
