APPI Council Call for Nominations
The term of office for three members of APPI Council will conclude at the next Annual General Meeting and nominees are required to fill these Councillor positions. In addition, nominees are required for the position of President Elect which consists of a four-year term commencing April 27, 2018, and includes one year as President Elect, two years as President and one year as Past President.
All nominations must be filed with the Nomination Committee via the APPI office on or before Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Click here for details and the Councillor nomination form.

Did you know that PLAN North West accepts submissions for a broad range of topics in various formats? We invite you to consider submitting:
- Book reviews
- Travel experiences
- Lessons learned
- Planning history
- Presentation summaries
- Research results
The length of submissions can vary between 500 - 2000 words. In addition, you may propose an idea or abstract to the Editorial Board to receive feedback and support before submitting a complete piece.

In Memory of Wes Candler
Wes Candler passed away on February 1, 2018. Mr. Candler was a
dedicated member of APPI since 1974 and served as president in 1993/1994. He was instrumental in working on the application to the province to create AACIP (now APPI) under POARA, to gain the RPP right to title. Before his consulting career, Wes worked for the City of Edmonton for many years. In 2007, Wes Candler was bestowed the honour of Outstanding Service to the Institute for his contributions as a Founding Member of AACIP.
