'Land Use Management in Alberta - Understanding the Impact of the Land-use Framework and Alberta Land Stewardship Act on Planning'

This presentation will look at Alberta’s land use planning legislative and policy framework and how it impacts both long range and day-to-day planning from the perspective of a planner.  We will review what planners should know about the Land-use Framework and Alberta Land Stewardship Act and what they need to consider when developing municipal land use policies and making municipal land use decisions.

Presenter: Jeneane Grundberg, Partner, Brownlee LPP. Jeneane brings unparalleled experience to her practice in the areas of municipal, planning and administrative law. With more than 100 reported decisions on multiple aspects of municipal, planning and administrative law at all levels of the Alberta Courts, Jeneane leads legal teams on complex litigation as well as policy and bylaw development.
