Resilience of The City: a free panel discussion about resilience at The City of Calgary.

Join the APPI Calgary Events Committee November 9th at the Dutton Theatre as we celebrate World Town Planning Day. (Doors open at 5:30pm and the presentation starts at 6:00pm.)

The panel features Chris Arthurs, RPP, Director of Resilience & Infrastructure Calgary (100 Resilient Cities); Dick Ebersohn, Program Manager, Climate Change (Climate Change Adaptation Strategy); Christina Fuller, Sustainability Consultant, Calgary Growth Strategies (ImagineCALGARY, 2020 Sustainability Direction).
The panelists will share their findings regarding the importance of adopting a collaborative working model to advance the resilience conversation at The City of Calgary. Current activities and alignment of City of Calgary efforts regarding climate change, resilience and sustainability will be discussed.
Calgary was recently named as one of the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities. Calgary joins three other Canadian cities in the 100 Resilient Cities Network. This event will help preview the 2017 Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) June 17-20, 2017 conference, which will focus on Building Resilience.

Light refreshments will be available.
Cost: This event is free – all are welcome and registration is not necessary.
