Building the planning profession together.
Let's face it. We had to change a lot this year: the way we work, the way we think, and the way we plan. Both as a profession and as individuals, we continue to evolve. That is why we have chosen this theme for the 2021 APPI Conference, which will be an opportunity for planning professionals and students to reflect on how recent events have changed our professional and personal lives. We will share stories of how we adapted, what we learned, and how we envision the future of our profession.
We are pleased to announce the KEYNOTE Address - An Indigenous Conversation…Getting Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable
A conversation with Ryan McMahon, Anishinaabe comedian, podcaster and writer from the Couchiching First Nation in Treaty 3 Territory. Ryan will use his unique humour to tackle heavy subjects such as colonization and reconciliation, and to challenge delegates to explore what they can do personally and professionally to re-write the next chapter of this great nation by celebrating and embracing its vast diversity and rejecting stereotypes and racism.
