2017 Vibrant Communities Speaker Series Presents "The City of Today and the Vehicle of Tomorrow"

For the last two years the City of Edmonton has been 
intentionally studying automated vehicle technology and has been at the centre of the local, provincial and federal dialogue around responsibly advancing this technology. In fall 2015, the City commissioned a study on the potential transportation and land use impacts of automated vehicles in Edmonton. This presentation will cover the highlights and lessons learned from the study, and the City's approach to preparing and planning for this disruptive technology moving forward. Our guest speaker is Erin Toop from the City of Edmonton. Erin is a Senior Engineer in the Policy Development group at the City of Edmonton where she leads the policy and planning work on automated vehicles and new mobility.

The June 2013 water event provided the Town of High River with an enormous opportunity for the development of long-term solutions, ensuring that the economic and cultural vitality of High River is not only restored, but improved and reenergized. The Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan introduced a strategy for recovery and revitalization. This event qualifies for 1.0 structured learning unit.
