Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Training For Professional PlannersThe Climate Risk Institute, All One Sky Foundation and Wallace Insights, in collaboration with the Provincial and Territorial Institute and Association Partners and with funding support from Natural Resource Canada’s Building Regional Adaptation Capacity and Expertise program, have developed a suite of climate change training modules focused on climate change adaptation for Prairie Region Planners. The online program brings together knowledge of climate change science and data, risk assessment, adaptation planning, policy, and tools and strategies for adaptation informed by the deep experience of practitioners in the field, and supported by an Advisory Committee of academic, municipal, and private sector members. Volunteers are required for consideration as APPI's nominees to serve on the Edmonton Design Committee (EDC)APPI has been invited to put forward up to two member nominees to serve on the Edmonton Design Committee (EDC) for one year terms from May 1 to April 23, 2023, renewable to a maximum of six consecutive years. If you are a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and interested in being considered as an APPI nominee to serve on the EDC, send an email to the APPI office confirming your interest and a resume of no more than two single-sided pages to the APPI office by February 25, 2022. APPI Council Call for NominationsThe term of office for four (4) members of the Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI) Council will conclude at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) and nominees are required to fill these Councillor positions.
