APPI Planning and Volunteer Awards
Virtual Celebration! Register by Tuesday, November 24!
On Thursday November 26, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, the Institute will host the 2020 APPI Planning and Volunteer Awards Virtual Celebration.
Join APPI to celebrate the exemplary planning that has been undertaken by our members via the APPI Planning Awards, and to honour the contributions and achievements of our volunteer members. While social gathering restrictions will not allow us to gather in-person for our typical celebration, please join the Institute in celebrating:
• Planning Awards Recipients
• Volunteer Recognition Award Recipients
• APPI Volunteers
• Newly Certified RPP Members
• Long Term RPP Members
• Student Education Scholarships Recipients

Call for Submissions to PLAN North West
PLAN North West invites interested members of APPI, as well as non-members, to submit articles or concepts for articles for consideration in upcoming issues of this planning publication. In addition to submitting a completed article, you may propose an idea or abstract for consideration by the Editorial Board prior to submitting a completed piece.
Submissions are encouraged for a range of topics and in various formats, including but not limited to: book reviews, travel experiences, lessons learned, planning history, presentation summaries, or research results. The length of submissions can vary between 500 and 2000 words. Submissions for the 2021 Winter edition are due January the 15th. While a suggested theme is centered around the impacts of COVID 19 within the Planning Practice, articles are not restricted to just this topic.
Planners, both APPI members and non-members, are encouraged to share their valuable experiences with their colleagues across the prairies and north to submit an article today! Regulated members of the Institutes may log the time committed to preparing articles as structured learning for the purposes of their mandatory Continuous Professional Learning (CPL). Having your article published in PLAN North West contributes to the planning community and provides an opportunity for professional advancement and personal satisfaction.

Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) Reporting Deadline:
December 31, 2020
APPI Council appreciates that the current economic climate, COVID-19 and recent circumstances may have CPL consequences for APPI members.
However, APPI Council and the other PTIAs, across Canada have reaffirmed their commitment to a national and consistent approach to CPL, and have acknowledged that CPL may be of even more value to our members during these challenging times. Click here for information and the guidebook
