APPI Student Education Scholarships Announcement

APPI annually recognizes and awards the achievements of students entering or enrolled in post-secondary institutions with an interest in planning as a profession.

The APPI Student Education Scholarship is intended to provide monetary assistance to students for tuition, research, books or other academic expenses.
The winners will be recognized at an in person 2020 APPI Volunteer Awards and Appreciation Celebration yet to announced.

APPI is pleased to announce the following recipients of the 2020 Student Education Scholarships. Congratulations!

Cherise Roberts, Graduate, Master of Urban & Regional Planning, University of Alberta
Seghan MacDonald, Graduate, Master of Urban & Regional Planning, University of Alberta
Tina Dadgostar, Graduate, Master of Planning, University of Calgary
Anil Yadav, Graduate, Master of Planning, University of Calgary
Johnny Oum, Undergraduate, Urban & Regional Planning, University of Alberta

The Student Conference Award was not awarded this year due the unprecedented COVID-19 situation. Therefore the decision was made to use the funds and award two more students for the Student Education Scholarship award!

 

Legacy Fund Award

The Legacy Fund Award did not receive any submissions and therefore was not awarded for 2020.

We encourage all regulated members to review the criteria and consider applying for the 2021 year. Click here for information.
