Laneway houses are becoming a hot topic in Calgary as the city projects a rise in population - over 2 million residents by the year 2050. Studio North offers a creative way to increase Calgary's housing supply while controlling sprawl: this compact building typology offers a delicate solution for enhancing walkable and transit-accessible neighbourhoods.
Matthew Kennedy, a founding principle of Studio North will give an overview of his work and how laneway houses can increase density to accommodate a diverse variety of families, life styles, incomes and uses.
