PLAN North West is the official publication of the Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI), Manitoba Professional Planners Institute (MPPI) and Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute (SPPI).  PLAN North West offers opportunity for publication of original works that are both community-based and research oriented, and relevant to Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.

The Editorial Board includes Laurie Kimber RPP, (Editor in Chief),  Miles Dibble RPP, Kyle Whitfield RPP, Brittany Shewchuk RPP, Lenore Swystun RPP and Samatha Mark, RPP.

PLAN North West is delivered electronically to all APPI members via email, however, members may request that they continue to receive the publication in hard copy by emailing [email protected].

Nest City Circle In Person and Online Course
Why: activate, practice

The Nest City Circle is an opportunity for planners, people who work at city/county hall and other public institutions, the business community, community organizations and citizens to come together to learn about our work in and with the systems of community and city. It is dedicated time to activate and practice new habits to serve citizens, cities and our communities well.  Your host and guide is Beth Sanders, RPP.

There are two options to participate:

Calgary in person course starts August 28, 2019 with 8 sessions meeting every other week for 16 weeks, Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. MDT/MST.
