CALL FOR PROPOSALS
@_APPI_#conf2019

At the 2019 APPI Conference in October, we will gather with engaged members of the planning profession in Fort McMurray to celebrate the strength of our communities and places. Our conference theme, Celebrate Strength, builds upon conversations developed through previous conference themes, such as Meeting Change 2016, Building Resiliency 2017 and Revitalize 2018.

This year in Fort McMurray, we will seek to provide answers to questions like…

  • How do communities respond to and become stronger from the challenges they’ve faced?

  • How do you celebrate the positive and unique aspects of your community?

  • How do you celebrate strength as a planner?

  • How do you foster local meaning and connection?

While our specific challenges may shift, at their core, the themes are persistent: political directions, economic challenges, climate change, technological advancement, and social and cultural diversification.

We must appreciate and celebrate our uniqueness and strengths.

The 2019 APPI Conference Organizing Committee invites you to submit your proposal for innovative, creative, and inspiring presentations that reflect on the theme of Celebrate Strength.

Click here for the Call for Proposal document. The deadline is 12:00 PM March 7, 2019.

If you have any questions or require further information, please contact Kendra Raymond at [email protected].
