Call for Volunteers - Edmonton Urban Design Awards (EUDA) Steering Committee

APPI has been invited to assign a representative to serve on the EUDA Steering Committee. The EUDA Program is an important tool for promoting urban design excellence in the City. If you are a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and interested in being APPI’s representative on this Committee, please send an email to the APPI office confirming your interest and a resume of no more than two single-sided pages to the APPI office by Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

APPI thanks all interested members for their willingness to represent their professional institute, however, depending upon the interest received, the final decision on the nominee to be put forward to serve on the committee may be determined by APPI Council.

Missing Middle Infill Design Competition

The City of Edmonton just launched its Missing Middle Infill Design Competition. Endorsed by the Alberta Association of Architects, "This competition represents a precedent-setting opportunity to convene builders/developers/architects together to promote new and exciting 'missing middle' housing forms."

Our competition website, edmontoninfilldesign.ca, complete with competition rules and regulations, public engagement and registration information is now live. We hope you give the initiative a look, and consider participating!
