REVITALIZE your planning practice, join APPI in Kananaskis, September 30 to October 2, 2018.

With spring in full swing we are surrounded by revitalization in action. Landscapes returning to green and bloom, cities returning to bustling summer activity. The cycle of our four seasons gives us a deep appreciation for rebirth and regrowth, and the power of dark days transforming into bright futures.

New forest growth begins for a second year across the devastated Wood Buffalo region and woodlands. Flood impacted communities continue to rebuild and implement modern planning strategies to build a better future for their resilient residents. These extreme cases highlight obvious opportunities for revitalizing Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut communities, but also give us inspiration to be pro-active and meet the future with a sense of opportunity and renewed purpose.

Join APPI and the planning community this fall in Kananaskis to discover and explore the many revitalization efforts underway across our great region. We will discuss ways of revitalizing the planning process, policy creation, public outreach, and design approaches that can be used to enhance development outcomes and established neighbourhoods in communities big and small. The conference will be held from September 30 to October 2 at the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge.

Click here to access the conference webpage and check out the program schedule, session descriptions, location, accommodation and registration information. Online registration is now open, click here.

APPI has secured a fabulous early bird prize of a spa package for the newly opened Kananaskis Nordic Spa that includes two complimentary passes to the Spa and a small premium Nordic spa gift bag.  The value of each giveaway is approximiately $200. Register prior to July 27, 2018 to be eligible to receive a reduced conference rate, and you will also be entered into this draw.

The conference includes three major workshops in the registration price, as well as two exciting educational tours that explore development in the Kananaskis/Canmore area. More than 20 sessions, plenaries and keynotes are scheduled, representing a very diverse range of content.

And of course it is a great opportunity to meet and catch up with colleagues. Social events each day and energetic evening receptions will keep the spirit lively. Explore the beauty of Kananaskis and, weather permitting, bring your golf clubs for a bit of friendly competition!

Give your company or municipality exposure and revitalize your brand! High visibility sponsorship opportunities are still available - platinum level sponsorships for our keynote speaker and for the conference mobile app branding. We are very excited about this year’s program and look forward to seeing you there!
