The APPI Bylaws are flexible with respect to the total number of members on Council, and state that Council shall consist of no fewer than seven and no more than thirteen persons. The 2018 Call for Council Nominees resulted in the recruitment of one nominee for President Elect and four nominees for Council. In light of the Institute's current and very ambitious strategic goals and corresponding plan, APPI Council under the recommendation of the Executive Director and in consultation with the Nominating Committee and the Returning Officer, agreed to expand the number of members on Council for the 2018/2019 term to ten members.
The Nominating Committee is pleased to report that the following regulated members in good standing were either recruited by the Nominating Committee or nominated independently. An election will not be held and all nominees will be acclaimed. As a means of introducing the new members of Council to the membership, their platforms are now posted on the APPI website at https://www.albertaplanners.com/membership/election-2018.
