APPI Student Scholarships and Awards
APPI annually recognizes and awards the achievement of students entering or enrolled in post-secondary institutions with an interest in pursing planning as a profession.
The APPI Student Education Scholarships are intended to provide monetary assistance to students for tuition, research, books or other academic expenses. These awards are evaluated based on the entirety of the application and overall merit. Click here for the application form. A maximum of three (3) scholarships will be granted at $1500.00 each.
The APPI Student Conference Awards are intended to assist students financially in their attendance and participation at the APPI Annual Conference, CIP Annual Conference, CPAA Annual Conference or other planning-related conferences. These awards are evaluated based on the entirety of the application and overall merit. Click here for the application. A maximum of two (2) awards will be granted for the reimbursement of allowable expenses to a maximum of $1500.00 each.
The deadline for both submissions is 5:00pm Friday, February 23, 2018 and the winners will be announced March 12th and recognized at the 2018 APPI Volunteer Celebration on April 27, 2018 in Edmonton.
APPI is interested in hearing from students who demonstrate an interest in the field of planning and advancing their planning education. Applicants are encouraged to be creative with their entries.
Students do not have to be APPI members to be eligible for an Education Scholarship or Conference Award but must be entering or enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a planning or planning related field of study within Alberta, Nunavut or Northwest Territories.
