APPI Response to Draft Municipal Government Act (MGA) Group 2 Regulations

The APPI MGA Task Force has examined the second group of Municipal Government Act (MGA) related regulations issued for review and comment by Alberta Municipal Affairs.  The MGA Task Force's report is APPI’s formal response to the Group 2 Regulations, and includes a number of recommendations as well as insights on how the regulations may impact planners and how municipalities may need to adjust to adhere to the regulations. APPI Social  - APPI Council is pleased to host this networking opportunity as a chance for Council and planning professionals in the area to meet each other in a casual atmosphere and share experiences. The reception is free of charge and will include light appetizers and a cash bar​.

Southpark on Whyte Tour - Whyte Avenue is a landmark main street south of downtown with historic elements and character, but it lacks people living along the corridor.  We will meet with  planners from Stantec and The City of Edmonton who worked together towards City Council's recent approval of a redevelopment plan that advances infill innovation in the city.
