APPI Council Candour and 2017 CIP/APPI National Conference

Prior to the CIP/APPI National Conference, Council met to dive into the 2016-2018 strategic plan, review our Council values and discuss the APPI social media policy.  Here are some of the highlights:

• With our new Council members assigned to strategic projects, Council reviewed and developed action steps to achieve our strategic plan. Some project highlights include working to better engage members outside of Calgary and Edmonton, improving indigenous awareness and understanding within the Institute, a member retention and attraction plan, negotiation of a new service agreement with CIP, volunteer recognition…and many many more!
• Council confirmed our values and how as Council we make decisions.  These values serve as implicit criteria guiding all actions and decision-making of Council. Check out our values at www.albertaplanners.com/
• Social media policy review and Twitter 101 for all of Council.  This policy and crash course helped Council tweet throughout the Conference.  We hope you are all following @_APPI_
