APPI Webinar - Think it won't happen to you? Think again! Lessons learned from the Discipline Committee

These sessions will provide an overview of the Professional Code of Practice governing regulated planners in the APPI jurisdiction.

Dates: April 20, May 11, May 25, June 15 and June 29
Time:  12:00 - 1:30 PM

The sessions are free, however pre-registration is required and each session is limited to ten registrants.  Click on your preferred date to secure your registration for this very important learning opportunity. There is no need to register more than one offering as the content will be the same for each session.

This seminar will describe the MIT award winning HEAT (Heat Energy Assessment Technologies) program whose goal is to show where millions of homes are losing energy, how much it costs and what to do about it, as simply as clicking on your home in Google Maps. We will also discuss how the use of Geographic Object Based Image Analysis (GEOBIA) lead to a university start-up (MyHEAT Inc) that has created the largest high-resolution thermal infrared acquisition campaign in Canada and one of the largest in the world;
Dr Hay is a full professor in GIScience in the Department of Geography at the University of Calgary, Alberta, and Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer at MyHEAT Inc.
