Come join Sarah Bercu, Planner with the City of Yellowknife, on a planning tour of the capital city of the Northwest Territories. Topics will include an overview of Yellowknife’s planning context and a deep dive into one of the most unique land use challenges: dog mushing.
Presenter: Sarah Bercu has a background in environmental sciences, design, and a Masters of Planning from Dalhousie University. Her work in design and planning has taken her to the Middle East, the Canadian East Coast, and across the Northwest Territories. She is currently a planner with the City of Yellowknife, and works on a variety of current and long-range planning projects. She is passionate about the built environment and social planning issues.
