Announcing the Launch of the New APPI Website!

APPI is very excited to announce the launch of the Institute’s new website! It is easy to navigate, mobile-friendly enabled and designed. Visit us at  Alberta Professional Planners Institute | (albertaplanners.com)

The website has a new “Members Only” section where you will find relevant information specific to your membership and the Institute. The website also reflects that APPI is the face of Professional Planning in Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, and the site was also designed to appeal to first-time guests learning about the Institute and the planning profession.  We hope you love the new look and we encourage you to take the time to familiarize yourself with the site and its content.  

In Memory of Cynthia Cvik

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Cynthia Cvik, in Red Deer on February 4, 2021 after a courageous 15 month battle with cancer.  Over her career, Cynthia worked as a professional planner in communities across the province and in British Columbia.  She was an APPI member for many years and was especially proud to uphold the values and ethical standards of the Institute.  Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Reminder! APPI Council Call for Nominations

The term of office for two members of the Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI) Council will conclude at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) and nominees are required to fill these Councillor positions.  These positions are for a two-year term commencing April 29, 2021.

All nominees for Councillor must submit a completed Councillor Nominee Declaration Form signed by two Regulated members, neither of whom may be the individual nominated, before the call for nominations closes.  

All nominations must be filed with the Nominating Committee via the APPI Office on or before Friday February 26, 2021. Nominations may be submitted by email to [email protected], Attention: APPI Nominating Committee.
