Community engagement often plays a critical role in the successful delivery of projects. With the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us had to re-imagine our planned engagement approaches and find alternatives while continuing to move projects forward. The ISL engagement team was ready and prepared to support our clients with engagement early on and during the pandemic. While municipalities have also had to quickly implement new approaches for Council Meetings and Public Hearings, the focus of this presentation will be on approaches to implementing engagement, prior to the Public Hearing stage of a project. We will share recent successful engagement programs, tools and lessons learned over the last 9 months and the evolving best practices for community engagement. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the engagement tools we have implemented across a variety of projects, including key considerations, as well as ask any of your burning engagement questions.
