As one of Canada’s top facilitators, Dave Hardy RPP has directly experienced what goes right and wrong when difficult public decisions need to be made by politicians, governments, agencies and corporations.  He’s learned a lot about how to successfully engage the public, how to foster dialogue and how to manage situations when members of the public are angry.  He’s also seen the political and financial costs of public engagement being done poorly.

This webinar qualifies for 1.0 structured learning unit.

APPI Call for Volunteers

APPI has been invited to put forward non-binding nominations for potential appointment to the Calgary Planning Commission and the Calgary Urban Design Review Panel.

If you are a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and interested in being considered as one of APPI’s non-binding nominations to serve in one of these capacities, please send an email to the APPI office confirming your interest and attach both a cover letter and a personal resume of no more than two single-sided pages by 3:00 PM on Thursday,  August 27, 2020.

APPI thanks all interested members for their willingness to represent their professional institute, and Calgary City Council has expressed a desire to receive multiple nominations for these positions.  The final selection of appointees will be made by Calgary City Council.
