APPI Webinar - Yellowknife's Urban Morphology: Conflict or Charm?

This webinar will explore the evolution of two of Yellowknife's most unique neighbourhoods: Old Town and Kam Lake. The talk will examine what makes these neighbourhoods so eclectic and why seemingly conflicting land uses add to the charm of the areas.

Dustin Martin is a Community Planner with Dillon Consulting in Yellowknife. He has worked on Community Plans, Zoning Bylaws, Economic Development Strategies, and land use policy throughout the Northwest Territories. He holds and MSc in Urban Management and Development from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He is passionate about sustainable community development and he is interested in the intersection of land use planning, transportation, energy, and infrastructure.
